Vandals Sought In GUNS N' ROSES Riot
January 12, 2003Vancouver police are getting ready to open an online GUNS N' ROSES rogue's gallery to help nab the hoodlums who trashed GM Place when the band cancelled their Vancouver concert last fall, according to The Globe And Mail.
Police are reviewing media videotapes looking for images that might nab the vandals, Const. Sarah Bloor said Thursday.
"We're trying to find the best photos available, and make them available to the public," she said. "The Web site is still being developed. We hope to have it ready by the end of the month."
Police made several public appeals for help, but couldn't find anyone willing to provide the names of those who trashed GM Place, causing $395,000 in damage.
Police waded into the crowd swinging batons, and the actions of those officers are still under review.
"Our internal investigation is still ongoing," Bloor said. "The review is still incomplete."
GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose, a chronic no-show, didn't appear for the Vancouver concert, as well as other events on the rock band's tour. The tour eventually had to be scuttled.
